I downloaded 4.0.10 to Laptop about 1 hour ago and everything looked fine. I went and downloaded to my iPhone and that even picked up the reservation that was missing but . . went back to the laptop and every entry has been duplicated. I now have two of everything!!

and now my iPhone is the same way - double entries!!

Worse yet - It has been duplicated in my local copy!!! I have a backup but I have no idea if that will ‘fix’ it or if sync copy is also corrupted!!!

And to make it even worse - I tried to reset on the iPhone - it brought back duplicates for everything which means the iCloud sync copy is duplicated!

Mine isn’t syncing, I backed up file on both phone and computer, tried sycning and no go, reload file on phone and it never saved the last fuel or trip entry I just made before saving. :slight_smile: do you have any hair left Gavin? lol

Just updated and I have now got duplicates of everything. The worst possible outcome.

Lots of work required to remove duplicates to sort out the database.

@SteveJ @JonH82 I’m sorry about the duplicates. For what it’s worth, v4.0.10 improves a number of things in terms of syncing and backups which new users will see. For us existing users who had previous problems, we’re still cleaning those up unfortunately.

On launch of the new version, there should have been a backup created automatically and immediately, before syncing begins. At that point, there should not have been duplicates.

Please try to do a backup of the way things are at the moment on the phone (just for safety), and then try to restore the earlier backup.

If you (or anyone else) wants to share their backup file with me, I can confirm if it’s good or not before proceeding. Just choose Export / Share and send it via email and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

It may be necessary to do a “Clear All Data” on all devices and restore a backup. I’m working on testing this at my end.

Not a massive problem for me. I deleted all the duplicates then did a manual backup. Seems to be working pretty good now. It’s not doing iCloud backups even though it’s set to. But it is syncing across devices ok.

I just had this happen on my phone it duplicated campgrounds but I think ONLY campgrounds. Computer says it syncs ok now but nothing is changing on my phone and when I change on my phone it doesnt change on computer, I dont know who it thinks it is syncing with :slight_smile:

Mine duplicated everything.

So this is becoming a real problem that I can’t solve. Cleared all data from all devices. Used a restore that brought back everything correctly (except last reservation) - everything looked good. Didn’t do anything - just let it set. Within 20 minutes, the laptop showed complete duplicates. I cannot prevent this no matter what I do. I guess I could disconnect from the cloud but I have lots of other stuff I need access to. There is no way to clear the iCloud sync database and there is no way to shut off the active sync. What can be done - I need to make trip entries??

What I did was to remove all the duplicates manually and let it sync. It now seems to be syncing normally and the data is now correct. It’s a bit of a pain but worth the time. But be careful to remove only the duplicates as it’s very easy to remove both entries especially the trip logs and the fuel entries.

Hi @SteveJ - this is good info. Just to check, if you clear data from all devices and do not do a restore, both devices remain empty of data, even after a little time, right?

Well, cleared the iPhone - it also just cleared the iPad with no request from me. Doing a clear on the iPhone did not clear the laptop - that is still duplicates . .

I just cleared the laptop - now have three cleared 4.0.10 - so far, no data . . .

Within an hour, all three devices had reloaded by themselves - nothing I did . . .

OK, it appears to be back in order - I loaded 4.0.11 on all three devices. and loaded a backup about 5 hours ago. Nothing has been duplicated since then. Hooray!! Entered trips/fuel and reservations and they all appear to work and sync . . .

Now I cant even reload backup or the last file I had, it just crashes completely out. All the backups it makes are only 47kb the last big backup was 969kb but it crashes also
