From v4.0.10, RVCare Logbook now backs up your data automatically. Here’s how it works.
Automatic daily backups
On your first app launch each day, RVCare Logbook creates a complete snapshot of your data — every record, photo, and document. It happens silently in the background.
Backups are saved to your device’s local storage and, if enabled, to iCloud Drive. The two locations are independent — if one has a problem, the other isn’t affected. If you’re often on cellular, you can restrict iCloud backups to WiFi only. Both options are in Settings → Data.
For a manual backup at any time, tap Back Up Now in Settings → Data. Manual backups are never automatically removed.
Retention
Automatic backups are managed so your storage doesn’t grow indefinitely:
7 daily backups — the last week
4 weekly backups — the last month
12 monthly backups — the last year
When a daily backup would be deleted, it’s promoted to fill an open weekly or monthly slot first — so no period goes unrepresented. Maximum 23 automatic backups per location. Manual backups are never touched.
Restoring
Browse your backup history in Settings → Data. Tap any backup, confirm, and tap Reload Now on iPhone or iPad (or quit and relaunch on Mac). Your data is restored exactly as it was at that point in time — not merged, replaced.
If you sync across multiple devices, go to Settings → Data → Reset Sync on your other devices afterwards so they pick up the restored data.
I uploaded 4.0.10 on phone, Vehicles and weight still crashes the app. I reloaded the file and still does it, so I shut my phone down and restarted and no change, got any suggestions? This just started out of no where? So I tried deleting the app and reloading, same thing crashes on vehicles and weight. Anyone else having this happen?
The same is happening to me. On the iPhone vehicles and weights crash. It does work correctly on the Laptop, no problems. The sync now seems to be working correctly - it updated a reservation on a campsite that it hidden done in4.0.9
Do Vehicles and Weight crash as soon as you open the section? Or is it when you tap on a specific record? I haven’t found a way to replicate this yet, which is strange. Does it produce a crash report that you can send me?
