I’ve been on the road for over a week now. We were off-grid and the connection was really spotty (photo below), but we moved to a new campground yesterday and the signal’s a lot better here, so I’m catching up with emails and messages. Thanks for hanging in there!
I have had Starlink for 4 years now - got it when I knew we were headed to Canada and spotty connections. Have NEVER regretted that decision! The first was a portable unit with 75’ of wire to connect. Actually made an outside plug in connection so I didn’t have to go through windows. When mobile went on 1/2 price sale, I bought that to anchor permanently on the roof of the RV. Perfect - even bought a 400w inverter so it would be on 24/7. Works perfectly all the time. We stream all our TV. Internet always! only problem - we now have to ask if there is an open sky site available and more and more places are getting use to that question. Does degrade in heavy, heavy rain but still works. Anybody that asks, I recommend. Pricy, can be depending on your use. We pay $165 (US dollars) per month during the summer and then cut back to $55 when we are only traveling to rallies. Easy to do.
