Documents not kept in vehicles

Multiple times I have put documents into a vehicle file, but they never carry over on syncing, I even backed up the file and when I reload it the documents are gone again so they are never really saving. When I tried to load that backed up file to the phone every thing worked fine until I selected the vehicle tab and then it would just exit the program completely, every time I tried it it did the same thing

Hi @TdTravels - there’s a small improvement with the way documents are dealt with in v4.0.8. If that doesn’t solve the issue, I’ll dig down into it. @JonH82 had reported a similar with issue with documents in Inventory.

4.0.8 is imminent - at the time of writing, the iPhone and iPad apps have been approved, and the Mac version should follow very soon. When all devices are updated, please try again, perhaps starting with a small document to see if that works.

Documents should now be syncing in Vehicles (and other areas) in v.4.0.9. I’m going to mark this as fixed for now but we’ll know for sure when it’s being used by more users.

@JonH82 I believe you also had this issue, so I’d be very interested to hear if the next update fixes it for you.

Looking forward to it ! Thanks Gavin!

I saw that the laptop auto started in the new version but documents still a no go in vehicles or inventory, I again backed up the file and reloaded and neither carried over. I dont see the update for the phone yet.

PS, I like the new avatar!

Check lists added! Love it and it looks great!

The iPhone review is taking longer than the Mac for once, but it should be imminent. Both will need updating before we know if the document is fully fixed or not. I’ve also flipped a setting which means that in future Mac, iPhone and iPad versions will be held until all are ready, so that they’re released at the same time.

It’s not bad! I’ve tweaked it again for the next version, this will be our icon for the foreseeable.

Glad you like it! Let me know if I can improve it somehow.

Gavin,

I’m assuming the iPhone update isn’t out yet so I can’t test this yet but, I have added one document to an inventory item and this is the sync status report.

Think this means it’s stopped the sync, please correct me if I’m wrong. It obviously isn’t showing on the iPhone but then I didn’t expect it to.

Ok now I think this version has broken the sync. Did a reset sync and it just emptied the records and came back with this.

Don’t think I’ll try that on the iPhone just in case. Back up made on the iPhone so at least I can restore if necessary.
