App Store update!

We’re nearly there! The iPhone and iPad versions have been approved for the App Store - we’re just waiting on the App Store review for the Mac version, which typically takes a few days longer.

The app will launch as a free app, so I hope we will have lots of new contributors on the forum over the coming months. I appreciate the very few who have been on the forum since the start! The free app is genuinely free and useful. For a lot of people, it will be plenty enough. There will also be an optional Pro subscription for a small payment - this enables cloud syncing between devices plus a few other features, as well as supporting development of the app. But there’s absolutely no obligation, no adverts, no nickel and diming.

More info coming very soon, including how to move from the TestFlight versions to the App Store versions.

Gavin,

That’s great, glad to see it coming back properly.

It’s a genuinely useful app, I have been using a spreadsheet to record our trips which works quite well but is a bit long winded to keep up to date with several double entries needed. So, RVCare Logbook has the potential to be the go to app for a lot of motorhomes and even caravaners in the UK. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

Will there be a beta testing option or will you rely on this forum for bugs and wish lists. I do have a few thoughts which I will share later.

Thanks for all your hard work to get this back to the community.

Thanks Jon!

When the app is released on the App Store, I’ll run beta builds (via TestFlight) for big fixes or big new features (I have a few ideas myself!). Updates that go straight to the App Store will be targeting very specific bugs.

Hi Gavin,

Any news or updates on the App Store process yet?

I believe we are now live, with both the Mac and the iOS (iPhone/iPad) versions! I’m working on a full announcement now, but both are on the App Store right now. The app itself hasn’t been the problem with the review process, it’s been the subscription options, which get their own reviews, require Privacy Policies and other items. The back and forth with Apple has been tedious and slow, so I haven’t been fixing any bugs (as I didn’t want to upset the successful review for the app itself), and have only been working on the subscription stuff.

Anyway, it’s looking good. Please continue to make backups of your data, especially moving from TestFlight to the App Store. And I’d love to hear how you get on. Thanks for your patience, we can now work on bugs and lots of feature requests!

Just updated to the latest version. The Visits History tab in Campgrounds is still not showing the visit details on IOS in portrait mode. It does show the delete bin which indicates the info is there. But if you turn the phone on its side it does show up but is unusable.

Thanks @JonH82 I understand now. It’s fully fixed in v4.0.6.

Hi @JonH82 just wanted to check in with you and make sure that this was indeed fixed.

Yes, all it’s working fine now.
